The international project organisation of the Three-Country Pilot has received the Award for the
"Most Outstanding Contribution to TETRA" during the TETRA World Congress in Copenhagen.
Ray Ginman, the chair of the TETRA MoU Board handed over the Award to Ms Elfrink-Thelosen who is the Dutch member
of the Steering Committee of the Three-Country Pilot.
According to Ginman, the Three-Country Pilot proved for the very first time throughout the world that the
TETRA technology makes cross border communication possible. The recommendations in the final report of
the Three-Country Pilot make an important contribution to the further development of the TETRA technology.
On the 19th of November the Final Report was handed over by the mare of Maastricht to the Dutch Minister
of the Interior. This was done during the two-day congress on the occasion of the operational going with C2000
of the public order and safety organisations of the region of South Limburg. The most important recommendation
in the final report is that the structural coupling between the networks of the countries is necessary so
that cross border communication will be possible in future.
